Multitasking Environment Detector (ver 1997) Abandoned Freeware The Multitasking Environment Detector tries to detect whether a multitasking environment, such as Windows, is running in the background. This program may falsely function if it is run under certain expanded memory managers, but otherwise it works fine. MED returns an ERRORLEVEL 1 when NOT in a multitasking environment, and ERRORLEVEL 0 if it detects a background environment. It also displays the result on the screen.
