QOTD

The Quote of the Day protocol (QOTD) is a query protocol, that responds by returning a short prepared text message (typically a random "quote"). In this respect, QOTD responses are similar to a system login "Message Of The Day". Interestingly, most versions of Microsoft Windows contain a built-in QOTD server that can be easily activated. QOTD servers are accessed using a TelNet client. Below are addresses to various free public access QOTD servers.
